Blogging is no longer the freedom of words. A lot of constraints have been emphasized causing many people to think carefully before scribbling words onto their blog. Some people might feel offended by their words but bloggers sometimes don't mean to harm others. They just want to blog their feelings, to vent their anger or sadness. Readers who happened to read their blog might be pissed off and leave sarcastic remarks. I guessed these people might not be able to forget the unhappy events. Anyway, that's reality. Not everyone is perfect.

Recently, 2 young men were being caught for posting stupid, inflammatory racist and vicious remarks about Muslims and Malays on their blog, which might cause social disorder. As a result, they were given landmark jail sentence.

[Extract from the Straits Times]

"... it is every Singaporean's duty to respect other races and religions ... the only appropriate social behaviour, independent of any legal duty, of every Singapore citizens and residents ..."

Stern warning to all bloggers:

"Bloggers who still have similar offending remarks are well-advised to remove them immediately… The Court will not hesitate to impose ... stiffer sentences in future ... "

I have to agree that their behaviours are inappropriate and deserved to be punished. Singapore is a multi-racial country. How could they discriminate the minority races?

Through these examples, I believed everyone must think before you act. Or else you have to face the consequences. Blogging can be very interesting and entertaining if you do not hurt readers.
